During my day off
I usually go somewhere on trip, but sometimes I stay at home and do nothing.
But on this day I decided to go to Bakewell, village 3 miles from my home.
There are two ways, through the forest and next main road. I had enough time,
so I walked along a public footpath. Footpaths in England are very interesting.
There are only a few directional signs, some of them old and fallen. Moreover
there is a lot of strange ways and private road. Because of these I walked two
hours instead of 30 min. But I was in National park so everywhere is beautiful nature;
you are going on green meadows, between cows and sheep.
Finally I was in
Bakewell. It´s very nice village, many tourist go there, carnivals, different festivals often take place there as well. Every Monday there is Farm market. I
thought that they will sell vegetable and fruits from their farm. I went there, but I was very surprised. Suddenly I was in the middle tribune and around there were cows in the circle. Man at the table shouted prices and people could buy cows here. I
was on real auction. It was interesting, I´ve never think that I will be on something
like that.
Now you can look on
some of my photos from my trip to Bakewell :)
